I suppose as far as memories go, that one isn't the most embarrassing. Just more disappointing in the end.

For all the times I have been in aforementioned mortal peril, he's only come once. Considering who and what he is, the separation of worlds wouldn't be an issue, so I assume his promise was a one-and-done.

Who is he? If you think he could get here...

He's an angel. A celestial being -- one unbound by the rules that keep anyone stuck in one world or the other.
He had passed through physical planes before to save me, took me to the realm he hails from, all in the blink of an eye. He's traveled to hells untold, passed among mortal planes in disguise...a place like this would be no issue to him.

Please don't make broad promises like that.
